The two nations clashed over differing opinions on environmental policies, leading to raised voices and accusations that disrupted the proceedings. The delegate of Denmark was visibly turning red while pointing fingers and at the brink of a brawl.
As the situation intensified, the head of academics, was compelled to intervene. With a firm but diplomatic approach, he called for order, urging committee members to adhere to decorum and focus on constructive dialogue. “we will not tolerate any misconduct and shouting from this committee,” he asserted, emphasizing the need for respectful discourse.
But did intervention successfully calm the room? Although the leadership highlighted the importance of maintaining professionalism, even amidst passionate disagreements, and served as a reminder of the challenges faced in international collaboration.
